A Smoothie Café for Important Life Skills!

Help me give my students a BLENDER and other necessary materials in order to create a smoothie café in our school!

My Project

Hello! Please help support our 6-8th grade MD/AU students as we design and launch a BRAND NEW smoothie café in our school building in Cleveland, Ohio. This project is brought to you by a collaborative team effort including administration, regular and special education teachers, paraprofessionals, OT/PT and SLP therapists. This café will target essential life skills for these students such as organization, social skills, gross/fine motor skills, hygiene/health, money management, vocabulary, and work ethic.

The STUDENTS will manage every aspect of the café from initial design to daily operations.

The students will create weekly menus, organize order forms, communicate with staff members, follow recipes, handle money and clean up their stations. We are hoping this café will help our students develop stronger interpersonal skills and independence. The students will even use any profits to give back to their school community!
