Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach preschool to a wonderful group of 24 students. They come from low-income households where they don't have access to educational materials, but my goal as their teacher is to provide them with a rich educational environment. They enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore, they are energetic and curious about their environment. Some are shy and some are outgoing, the mixture of personalities make our class interesting and fun. Growing and learning together, preparing to become model citizens.
My Project
By donating to our project you will be providing hands on materials that enhance learning and celebration to our classroom diversity background. The multicultural books will help us learn with age appropriate terminology, adding visual to maximize our understanding of our world. Adding wooden houses from around the world and children from around the world to our blocks area will allow students' imagination to pay attention to details that makes countries stand out. We will share our learning with families with art projects that students will work on representing our uniqueness and diversity. Let's celebrate our unique and complex cultures!
