Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will give my students access to tools that make learning more interactive, comfortable, and effective. The smart board will allow me to model lessons visually and bring digital content to life. Students will also be able to interact with technology which supports all types of learners. The iPad and Apple Pencil will give students access to creative apps and help them take ownership of their learning through digital design, notes, and collaboration. The ergonomic chair helps me stay focused and energized for long teaching days, and the laminator will let us preserve important class materials and celebrate student work.
My students are hardworking, resilient high schoolers who show up every day ready to learn, even when resources are limited.
My special education students will benefit from these resources as it provides them a multi-model approach to access their general curriculum and practice their vocational skills for life after high school.
Many come from low-income households, but that doesn’t stop them from striving for success. They are creative and motivated to make a difference in their lives and communities. What makes them truly special is their determination to rise above challenges and their excitement for hands-on, engaging learning experiences.
