This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This project includes two forensic science kits about ballistics -- bullet striation and a forensic shooting reconstruction kit. Students learn about ballistics to determine where the suspect(s) and victim(s) were positioned as well as what caliber was used.

Engaging activities help my students retain concepts.

These lessons involve math. Students learn to calculate the angle of the shot and determine the shot distance. Students must use their developing skills to notice small differences between bullet striations for comparison to eliminate suspects or provide additional proof. These materials are reusable, so they can be used for many more classes to come!
