This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our band is up and running and we are off to an incredible start to the new school year. We are fortunate enough to have high quality instruments for our high quality students and they are doing incredible things already.

Unfortunately, our saxophones are in desperate need of replacement and my students deserve BETTER!

I know with a new horn, the effort they are putting in will be matched and their hard work will pay off. After bringing a few old saxophones in for repair, I was told they are "unrepairable" and would be a waste of money. Right now we don't have the money in our budget to get a new one- and like I said, my students deserve the best. When we do our due diligence and perform in parades and concerts and give back to our community, we want to make sure we are shining as bright as possible and giving our best to our beautiful town.
