Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are always looking for a way to challenge themselves and their creativity. They have so many ideas and thoughts that are waiting to see the light. I want to help my students use art as an outlet to express themselves when I am not available. The best way I can think of to do that is through the use of books! As we continue to build our classroom library, students will be able to choose books that will help them continue to enjoy independent reading and creating time.

These books are a good stepping stone for students to practice and develop their own skills such as self-confidence, critical thinking, and visual comprehension.

A shelf is a house for a book - I hope to continue to add books to our classroom library that will help enrich students' creativity through art history and drawing books! By donating to this project, you will make it possible for these students to have their own classroom library in which they can easily access books to read on their own.
