A Series of Reading Events

Help me give my students the complete set of Series of Unfortunate Events. We began reading the first of the series and they LOVED it! I am encouraged to continue reading the series because of my students!

My Students

I have 20 amazing students this year! They are responsible and respectful. They are always eager to learn. My students are bundles of energy who love to read! They come to school with a positive attitude each morning. They are hopeful to have an enriching day.

My students show great perseverance when presented with a challenge.

My students are team players, they help one another when needed. My students are confident problem solvers. They deserve the best education I can provide.

My Project

We started reading the first of A Series of Unfortunate Events a month ago - and my kiddos are hooked! My students are so motivated to continue reading the series. I am also advised to utilize this series from the Reader's Workshop program my district uses.

By having these books ready and available, I can support my students' learning and interest.

These books will motivate my students to continue their reading journey. Since these books are challenging to read due to the heavy vocabulary and multiple story plots, my students will practice keeping track of longer books to align with our Reader's Workshop curriculum. In addition, students will learn more about series writing - an application to our Writer's Workshop unit!

With the help of this series, I can teach my students: vocabulary, perseverance, story plots, character traits, and much more!
