My Students
Hello! I teach in a K-2 school with approximately 1,000 students. Our school has a diverse population of students. My students are smart, enthusiastic, creative, hardworking, eager, and respectful. My classroom consists of students from all different backgrounds. I have high functioning students, low functioning students, and ELL students. My school offers reading and math interventions to aid struggling learners in their educational success.
I am dedicated to my students.
It is my goal to provide an inviting, nurturing, and warm classroom where each student feels comfortable.
Our school does not receive Title I funding. Thus, the technology and resources in my classroom are limited. Most of my resources are supplied by either myself or through parent donations. The environment provided by the administration, teachers, and staff is inviting and nurturing. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of each student that walks through the doors.
My Project
For this project, I am hoping to grow my classroom library. I have spent a lot of time researching popular books that my students enjoy reading. As they become better readers, they are very interested in short "chapter books." I have carefully selected books that I see my current students frequently check out from the school library and books that they bring from home to read. These books will be perfect for independent reading or for students to read if they finish their assignments early. I am excited to add these books to my classroom library.
