it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our flexible seating classroom, students are encouraged to choose the spot that helps them learn best — whether it’s working with a partner, gathering with a group, or finding a quiet space to focus alone.
While many students enjoy collaborative seating, some truly thrive when they have a space of their own.
I’ve noticed that some students consistently seek out individual workspaces. For them, having a designated desk and chair provides a sense of security, ownership, and focus. It gives them the quiet, structured environment they need to do their best thinking and feel at ease.
Adding a few nice, quality, individual desks and comfy lounge seats to our classroom would give these students a reliable space to return to when they need to work independently. In a room full of movement and choice, it’s so important to have options that support every learner’s needs, including those who need calm and peace.
