A School Year To Remember

Help me give my students headphones, water bottles and books to enjoy the school year!

My Project

What I love—and will always love—about my incoming first graders is their natural curiosity, big hearts, and eagerness to learn. Every year, I’m amazed by how much they grow, not just academically but as kind, creative, and confident individuals.

To help them start the year strong, I’m requesting a few essentials that will make a big difference in our daily routines.

Headphones are critical for computer learning and independent centers, but many of my students aren’t able to bring their own. Providing class sets ensures that every child can fully participate in our learning programs.

Recess is another important part of our day, and with limited access to water fountains, reusable water bottles are a must. A sturdy storage holder will help us keep both headphones and water bottles organized, clean, and easy for little hands to manage.

I also love using a positive reward system in my classroom. Whether it's a piece of candy or a fun treasure box prize, these small rewards are a big deal to my students. They get excited about making good choices, staying on task, and helping others—and seeing their pride when they earn a reward is truly special. These treats reinforce positive behavior and help build a strong classroom community.

Finally, I’m hoping to add the Junie B. Jones book series to our classroom library. These books were a big part of my own childhood, and I know my students will fall in love with Junie’s funny, relatable adventures just like I did.

Each of these resources supports our students in learning, growing, and feeling cared for every day. Thank you for considering a gift to our classroom—anything helps, and we are truly grateful!
