This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are entering and emerging English Language Learners that are mostly new to the country. They dedicate additional time after-school, because they have the desire to learn and speak a language that they're not used to using, much less understand.
They've taken that first step by attending and expressing interest to develop and enhance the skill of learning a new language and adapting to an unknown environment.
I admire their tenacity.
The snacks will help them get through the after school program with a little less hunger pangs. They deserve it.
