A Salute to Our Veterans Service Learning Project!

My Project

My students will develop a sense of empathy and gratitude for the sacrifices made by the veterans who have served our country. As we study the history of North Carolina and the roles our veterans have played in the past wars, students will develop a deep appreciation for the veterans of our United States.

Students will feel such a sense of pride as they decorate gift bags and write thank you letters to local veterans in our area.

My students already have big hearts for the needs of others, but this project will provide a special and unique opportunity for them to participate in a hands-on project to show their appreciation to our veterans!
