This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of my biggest goals is to create a classroom environment where all students feel safe, welcome, and valued.
Many of my students benefit from having a calm, cozy space where they can reset, read independently, or take a break when they’re feeling overwhelmed.
To support this need, I’m working on creating a Book Nook, a quiet, inviting corner in my classroom designed to promote both literacy and emotional regulation.
To bring this vision to life, I’m requesting bean bag chair covers to create soft, comfortable seating for students. I’m also asking for a variety of engaging, high-interest books. Lastly, I hope to add warm lighting to help create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere in the room. These small touches will make a big difference in how students feel in our space each day.
