A Safe Space to Develop Social Emotional Skills

My Project

Our school has over 870 students aged 4-15! These students have diverse backgrounds and needs. My goal for this project is to create a safe, welcoming and supportive counseling office where ALL students can safely express themselves and develop age-appropriate social emotional skills.

The requested books will support the delivery of social emotional learning and social skills through guidance lessons and small groups.

The requested sensory items and games will provide students with a safe and calm space where they can learn to effectively manage and process their emotions through hands on learning and reflection. The rug and sign will help make our school's counseling office a safe and inviting space equipped with hands on learning tools.

I sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness in helping my students become emotionally intelligent!
