This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my school and my students. Sadly, the neighborhood has been a real challenge for my students over the the past couple of years. I want to provide students with the safest, most cozy space when they enter my room and leave the streets behind. My students love to hug and express their feelings. They gravitate towards small corners in our room during independent work time as I play music. However, our floor is concrete and cold. The Posh Creations Bean Bag Chair would offer a cozy seating option as well as the Sioloc Flower Pillow. I want to provide them with a cozy space where they can work to the best of their ability while feeling loved, cared for and safe. Additionally, I do have students with sensory needs so the Sensory Water Beads Toy for Kids 6 Pack would be a great addition to the fidget bin I want to add to this space. The MioTetto Soft Non-Toxic Foam Baby Play Mat would allow for additional comfortable seating for my students since many of them like to lay on the floor on their belly while reading.
