My Project

We have an awesome group of students who are on the path of being life ready when they complete high school. In addition to academics, this includes caring for their whole selves. For some students, the transition back to in person learning has been a challenge. Many are stressed, anxious, and have experienced hardships and trauma due to the pandemic. As a school social worker I would like to provide students a safe, welcoming and comfortable space to seek support, and access resources to promote good physical, mental and emotional health. Having a refrigerator to store most requested healthy drinks and snacks as well as comfortable and flexible seating in bean chairs will benefit students by having a place to receive support, snacks, resources and regroup and return to class ready to learn.
