it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom rug is such an important part of our environment in our class. It is where we start our day and it is where it ends. As a family we have learned new things together, shared things about ourselves, and come together as more than just classmates. Our current rug has been loved but we are ready to have a new and clean place to sit everyday. Whether it be during morning meeting, during whole instruction, during brain breaks, or partner work, it has become harder and harder to ignore the condition that our rug is in and work around it. By having a new rug to sit on, we can continue to work towards making our classroom a home.

This year, our second grade class has begun their African Drumming residency. Although it is an enriching and wonderful experience, I noticed some students covering their ears because of how loud it became when we all played together. Please help me provide noise canceling headphones for our class so that they can continue to take part in this experience comfortably.
When it comes to assessments within our class, we have resorted to using our subject folders for privacy. Unfortunately, this also means that during our testing time, students are struggling to keep their folders up. With your help, we can offer effective privacy folders that also encourage our students while they work.
