A Safe Place to Reset

Help me give my students a safe, calming place to go when the noise and activity of our classroom becomes too much.

My Project

I have some students who become over stimulated when our typical Kindergarten / First Grade class works on projects or on individualized computer programs. Without individual headphones, there's a lot of sounds which is overstimulating for a few of my students.

Having headphones to lessen the sound will help during small groups, while the tent is a space to retreat that is quiet and safe when overstimulation occurs.

The tent will provide that safe space with less noise, along with the use of the weighted blanket, the snuggle up chair, and the white noise machine with soft light ... it will all work together to give the students a place to reset and return to class ready to learn.
