My Project
My school provides highly specialized support for students with multiple disabilities. Our students enjoy coming to school and are eager to build relationships with staff. They are energetic, curious, and empathetic children. They work so hard in their counseling sessions.
In order to better support my students, I am requesting a rug for our counseling office so that I can facilitate floor-based play therapy sessions with my students.
I am also requesting a floor mat so that we can begin to build a calming corner. Many of my students have anxiety and become overwhelmed in overstimulating environments. These resources will help me ensure that students feel comfortable, safe, and supported in their counseling space.
