Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

These are middle school-aged students who are academically struggling. The students I work with have fallen behind due to the COVID-19 pandemic and now will be returning to in-person learning to get back on track and set up for a successful academic future.

My students are from a small school in a high poverty area.

These students come from all backgrounds and are striving to be high achieving leaders of the community.

My Project

This project will help me to provide my students with a classroom where they feel safe and comfortable. Having cleaning supplies for my classroom will help me lower the spread of germs and keep my students as safe as possible from Covid-19 while in the classroom.

I would like all of my students to be able to take a snack home with them on days they are hungry and unsure if they will receive a meal at home.

The students I have in my classroom receive free breakfast and lunch but still get hungry throughout the day. I would like all of my students to be able to take a snack home with them on days they are hungry and unsure if they will receive a meal at home.
