This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 2 classes of diverse 5th graders; Regular Education , Special Education , and English Language Learners who possess a "whatever it takes" attitude to do their personal best to contribute to our classroom community . Their goal is to become 21st century learners on the path to getting ready for college , careers , and community service. We are a class that strives toward a class community of academic risk takers. My goal is for each of them to develop a passion for reading as they share the different genres and authors they read this year through literature circles, authors study, book shares, buddy reading, and writing responses to what they read. I love seeing them get hooked on books and plan on leaving no reader behind. We are a promise and great big bundle of potentiality!

My Project

I will be using this classroom rug to not only enhance the children's learning environment but to use it as a place to gather to learn and share their ideas. My students will really enjoy having a cozy place to sit and read.

By donating to our project you will be helping my students have a space to be engaged in discussions and focus their attention on learning.

It will help them foster relationships , motivate their active participation and increase their academic achievement. I thank you in advance for your help and support with the teaching and learning of my loving and bright students .
