Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Because we spend a large portion of our day on the rug for group learning, our seating area must be clean, comfortable, and durable enough to support daily use.
This rug provides each student with their own space which is so important for six-year-olds with endless energy.
It is the center of our room where they ask questions, think deeply, build community, express themselves, solve problems, and play.
Investing in a new classroom rug would directly enhance student engagement and comfort, helping to support a positive and effective learning atmosphere in our first-grade bilingual classroom.
