This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A classroom carpet plays an enormous roll in tying together a classroom. This classroom carpet will give me the opportunity to create an inviting learning environment for my upcoming third grade class and those to come. Unfortunately, our current classroom carpet is quite small and unable to fit a full class of 22 students comfortably. Our classroom carpet will be the host of our daily read aloud, reading, writing and math mini lessons, classroom meetings, restorative circles and much more.
Our classroom carpet will serve as a comfy, spacious reading oasis for all students.
My students love utilizing the carpet as a place to get comfortable and dive into their independent reading. If this project is funded our classroom carpet will further support our learning and enhance our sense of community. But, most importantly, it will also be the source of joy for many students.
