My students need a classroom library full of fiction and non-fiction books! The third-grade classic grade level library will be a great start as we build our classroom library this year!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are bright, eager and ready to learn! Third grade is such an amazing time of growth and exploration and my students are fully immersed and engaged in learning. Though many of my students come from difficult circumstances, their love for learning far exceeds any obstacles or challenges that may try to hinder their success.
They are steadfast, immovable, and always excelling in their work because they understand that their labor is not in vain.
They understand that their learning is connected to their future and they have the opportunity every single day to make the decision for a better and brighter future when they come into the classroom with a mindset for learning and growth.
My Project
Creating this classroom library for my students will give them the opportunity to delve into new worlds and learn lots of content about the world around them. This library will also give each student the opportunity to practice their reading comprehension skills and reading strategies throughout the day as they work on group and individual assignments. My students will also be able to choose books that interest them from the library as well, in order to continue to increase their desire to read. This reading library will be the focal point of my classroom and the place where students can complete independent work, work in groups or simply read.
