My Students
I work at a first year school in Charlotte, North Carolina, with dedicated staff members, families, and students. As you can imagine, starting a school can be tough!
My classroom is filled with 20 curious and energetic Kindergarteners.
They come to school every day eager to learn something new. The students in my classroom come from a variety of different economic backgrounds, but their goals are all the same; to be their best everyday! Our school motto is: "I am strong, I am smart, I am peaceful." Even though they may be small, they sure are mighty!
My Project
Recently, I had an opportunity to visit a school that is using many innovative methods to engage and teach students on a daily basis. One thing that really stuck out to me was how much music was used there to motivate children to do their best. By donating the Ion Audio Party Express Bluetooth Speakers, I will be able to create an environment that is not only engaging, but will help me build a strong and loving learning community.
We will be singing and dancing on top of tables and chairs to celebrate success everyday!
I can picture this fun learning environment and I can't wait to get started. However, the speaker system will also provide me the opportunity to use a microphone to teach my lessons. As a teacher, this will assist me in keeping my voice in tact. It is so difficult to teach when your throat is sore or your voice is gone. It will also motivate my little ones to practice hearing their own voices. The wireless microphone is perfect for little ones to use to present in class. They are leaders, readers, writers and speakers!
