My Project

I love how my students show up with curiosity, resilience, and joy every day. I love their unique personalities, their questions, their investment, and their curiosity. I love watching them grow, not just academically, but as kind, thoughtful people who are invested in the betterment of the world

This year, my students had the opportunity to create their own social justice hashtags and design posters based on the causes they felt most passionate about.

Watching them express themselves with such creativity, purpose, and pride was truly inspiring.

Now, I’d love to take it one step further by giving them the chance to design their own custom apparel as a meaningful keepsake; something they can wear to showcase their voices and continued support for the movements they believe in. Your support can help make this vision a reality and empower students to stand tall in what they believe. Purchasing our own class Cricut maker and auto press allows us to have access to create as often as possible.

The items requested to support social-emotional learning are essential, especially in our social justice class where we often explore topics that deeply impact our students, staff, and families. These discussions can be emotionally heavy, as they address real-world injustices that many of us experience firsthand. Having the tools to take intentional, reflective breaks allows us to pause, reset, and process our emotions in a healthy way, ensuring that we can continue these important conversations with care, resilience, and empathy.
