I am an early childhood teacher in a large, urban public school.
We are in need of educational play materials for our block center. We have beautiful new blocks but lack vehicles and human figurines for children to play in the block area. The children enjoy the block center but we need these materials to bring it to life and to stir their imagination. They love to play with blocks but they are limited due to the fact that they are missing these materials.
The children learn about cooperation and teamwork as they play with others in the block center. The children also work on their fine motor and problem solving skills in this center. This center also fosters language development and creative expression. They will learn early building concepts and learn to express their thoughts in a logical sequence. Who knows maybe this will inspire them to be an engineer or architect someday.
I am requesting four items. We are in need of people for our center. I have chosen a set of children from around the world. This will also introduce them to other cultures and diversity. The second item is a set of ten vehicles of differing designs such as an ice cream truck, a police car, etc. The third item is a set of boats and planes. Lastly, various vehicles that the children will create on their own. This items contains forty vehicle pieces with built-in magnets that are easy to stick together. They will be given an opportunity to really use their imagination!
