I teach 3rd grade in Brooklyn. All of my students receive free school lunch.
Going on a "museum quest", watching the "Dinosaurs Alive" Imax film, embarking upon a "flashlight adventure", sleeping under the giant blue whale... Can you think of anything better for an eager group of 3rd graders? Just like the movie, "Night At The Museum", students can really spend a night at the amazing American Museum of Natural History through the institution's "A Night At The Museum" program. This is an adventure that many dream about, and few actually get to experience. Why not make this dream a reality for 20 thrill-seeking third graders?
Like many once in a lifetime experiences, spending a night at the American Museum of Natural History comes at a steep price. This trip will simply not be possible without the support of generous donors. My students' families work hard to provide for their kids, but simply cannot afford this enriching experience.
What are your fondest childhood memories? I know that my students would always cherish their memories of a sleepover at The Museum of Natural History. Your donation will provide the experience of a lifetime, and inspire my students to possibly become paleontologists, museum curators, scientists, teachers, astronomers, and who knows what else! Just because my students live in a low-income area does not mean that they don't have the same interest in learning as other kids throughout the city. The positive impact that your donation could make is without limit. Thank you for your consideration, and for your interest in the success of our children.
