My students need a reading nook so they can really get into francophone literature. I'd like a book display rack, and a beanbag chair so they can relax and enjoy a good book!

My Students
I teach French in an urban public high school. I am lucky that while many high schools are losing their French programs, or even their entire foreign-language departments, we still have a strong demand for our French classes, with more than three hundred students studying this language every year. Many of our students are studying a foreign language in order to be able to communicate with grandparents, aunts, and uncles in their parents' countries of origin, or to become global citizens and be prepared for a wide range of careers.
We are a low-income, high unemployment city, but we are also a diverse, culturally rich city.
At school events, I can try food and see dancing from Cambodia, Sierra Leone, and Quebec, all in the same room. We have dozens of different languages spoken in our school of approximately 3500 students. Many of our students are working close to full time to help support their families. Some have access to technology at home, while others can only use it at school. So we want to provide all the resources they need to succeed.
My Project
I've managed to amass a pretty sizable collection of French books and magazines over the years, but don't have a proper way to display them and make them look enticing to the students. We also don't have any comfy place to relax with a good book when the students' work is done.
I'd like to create cozy reading nook so that students have a place to curl up with a good book (in French!) This will be a quiet corner to get away from electronics and get absorbed in a real physical book, something many of our students can't do at home.
Having a relaxing, positive reading space will help our students grow into life-long readers. For this we'll need a teen-sized bean bag chair and a book display rack.
