My Students

Most of my students were born and raised in Chester and Philadelphia. It is my first year teaching in an urban school district and I have learned so much about my students and where they come from. They are so eager to learn more about the world and I try my best to create engaging lessons where they can explore different backgrounds, cultures, and traditions.

My favorite moments in the classroom are when the students enjoy learning and ultimately feel proud of their accomplishments.

My Project

Each and every book that lives in my classroom is appreciated and is treated with care and respect. The pages will be worn and torn only after countless students spend hours diving into an unknown world.

Let's give these kids something good to read and write about!

Social media and technological advances have taken over the world and hard copy books are thrown on the back-burner. Unfortunately, most of my students do not have access to books, let alone to technological devices. I want to be able to give my students everything that they need to create successful futures. The majority of the students do not have access to books or computers at home and have limited experiences at school due to the lack of resources and funds in this district. With your help, we can give my students books to read and a computer to learn how to research topics, type papers, and write proper emails.
