I can't think of a better way to spend my days than with a classroom full of energetic students. My students are inquisitive, enthusiastic and caring 5 and 6-year olds that are eager to learn. They are learning their letters, sounds, numbers, and how to read. They love to learn through hands-on, active, and engaging activities. They can be found learning at tables and on the floor; in large and small groups, partners, and independently.
One of their favorite times of the day is our read aloud time, where we can all get lost in the story and learn about faraway places, and things that we have never seen before.
We meet characters that can teach us about cultures from around the world and the lives of others.
We also do a wide range of hands-on activities to keep our bodies busy. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies to meet individual needs. My students are truly amazing in all that they do and in how they perform. Every day is productive and enjoyable.
By donating to my classroom you will assist in an engaging story time. We gather daily on the carpet for read alouds in our classroom. Our class enjoys diving into a new story and using our imagination to take us on adventures.
Reading aloud to children gives them the opportunity to experience things they might not ever get to see elsewhere.
It helps them make connections with others, and to places and cultures around the world. We can explore the ocean, the rain forest, and the arctic all from the comfort of our classroom.
I want my students to be immersed in as many ways possible when learning to read. The more access we have to books, the easier this is.
