This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
“Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.” John F. Kennedy
My students are enthusiastic and diverse 5th graders who truly enjoy learning.
They are hard working, intelligent, passionate, and inquisitive students full of energy.
My students love to learn about all subjects, research about current events both in their community and worldwide, and challenge themselves in math and science, but they also love to go outside and have fun with physical activity.
My Project
I have been at my school for over 17 years. I have seen many things change in my classroom but there has always been one constant, my ugly beat up projection screen. It is torn, yellowing and tiny. If my classroom gets a new projection screen, we will use it as we have been using the old one but with significantly better results. I use the screen and our projector to demonstrate problems in math, writing, and other content areas such as science. In science, the screen is used to demo science experiments that the students will work in teams to experience for themselves.
The students will use the projection screen to show their PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations which further engages them in their want to learn.
