My school is a Title I school. Over 90 percent of our student population is receiving free or reduced-price lunch, and they are limited in their life experiences due to low socioeconomic backgrounds.
My students are special and come from a household with love and support, but their parents may not have much.
My students are very curious and energetic. Even though the students have many needs, they are eager to learn as much as possible in all areas. They seek out activities that are authentic and enriching. My students are happy to come to school with smiling faces even in this new normal.
My Project
Most textbooks and workbooks are online nowadays. However, my students need to learn to write with pencils and paper to improve their literacy skills. So, we do need to print these materials online. This color printer will give a chance to my students scan their writing projects and drawings and print them out. This new color printer helps with my students' creativity and ideas. Also, my students maintain the vegetable garden, and we take a lot of pictures of their activities in the vegetable garden. If we have this printer, we can even print these pictures to share with parents and the community.
