Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work as a Portuguese Bilingual Teacher in an inner-city school. My students come from different academic, linguistic, and socio-cultural backgrounds, which makes them even more special.
They are eager learners who need time, understanding, and a friendly environment that gives them the security and opportunity to discover themselves and their world.
My students love playing games and acting with puppets! With a printer, I can create activities that will make my classes more fun and engaging. It will also provide my students with paper-based schoolwork that will foster their math and foundational skills.
Our school does not have a library, so it is in the classroom that students have the opportunity to read and listen to stories, to learn about their world, and to discover how much they can do for the future.
Please help me to reach all my students because it is necessary to narrow the disparities and provide equitable opportunities to all children.
