This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With over forty languages spoken in our school, our students comprise one of the most diverse populations in the country. Like our students, our program is still in recovery from the previous two years of isolation and hands-off learning. Our burgeoning music makers are making headway in their guitar practice. With so many ambitious guitarists willing to share their music, they also need a quiet, safe place to make mistakes and refine their shredding skills. Without the proper facilities in our school, these headphones will give them that practice space. We will use these headphones to connect to small practice amplifiers right under their chairs for an enclosed environment within the classroom. It will also provide students with a means to listen to lessons and instructional videos from their school-issued devices without the distraction of a face-melting guitar solo.
