Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As first graders my students are gaining more independence at school and with that they are learning how to be organized. They have classroom books, folders, crayons, pencils and library books that they need to store and keep track of in the classroom. These durable chair pockets will help my students keep all of their learning materials close by and easy to get too so that no time is wasted trying to find what they need.
I love that these pockets are washable and proven to withstand classroom use for many years to come.
We use tables in my classroom instead of desks so there isn't as much storage. These pouches fit perfectly on the back of classroom chairs and will help my students keep work spaces free of clutter and supplies organized.
Since my team and I deploy students during RTI time, I am teaching students from other classrooms during part of each day. These pouches will allow my students to have a place to keep their supplies safe even when they are out of the classroom. Since they are on the back of the chairs the tables are free of clutter and distractions so that the students who come in are able to get to work without any distractions.
