Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My young scholars are very special and sweet to me. They are curious about everything and have a thirst for knowledge. My classroom consists of ELD (English Language Development) and EO (English Only) speakers. I have a mixture of Latino and African-American students. Most of my students attend a school where the majority of children come from low-economic backgrounds. These young students enter my classroom with smiles and ready to engage in fun-filled lessons and activities on a daily basis.

My Project

This classroom carpet will make a difference in my students' learning because they will have a new and clean rug to sit. Our present classroom carpet is worn out for students to sit and learn. My young scholars use our classroom carpet throughout the day. We use the carpet during whole group instruction and small group instruction. In addition. students need to sit on the carpet when they play educational games to improve social skills.

I don't want my students to continue sitting on a worn out rug.

They deserve to have a new rug to sit and learn. Having the proper materials to educate tomorrow's leaders will help them succeed.
