This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Ninety percent of our amazing students live below or near the poverty line. About 60% of our students are learning English in school. Sometimes our school struggles to get the resources we need to teach and care for our incredible students. This makes the job of a school even more important.

Many students we teach experience poverty, but that's just where they are starting.

Our students love to create art and read. They write computer code and even perform Shakespeare. They have big dreams, and let's help them reach for those dreams!

My Project

It has been a WILD year and a half for schools. Sometimes it has been difficult for my students to feel safe and comfortable in schools. That hasn't stopped kids from working hard and building up their literacy skills.

With your help, we can create a space where kids feel comfortable, safe, and eager to explore the world through writing and reading.

My dream is to give kids a cozy little library where they can curl up with a good book, get lost in a story, practice their handwriting, and draw and write their own stories. By choosing the project, you will be sending kids a gorgeous classroom table where they can study and read, plus pencils, highlighters, and more. With your help we can create a space where the love of reading and writing can grow!
