My students bring such joy to my life and I am thankful to be their teacher. We seriously have some of the best students in our small town elementary school. I know that every school and every teacher says that, but I know just how amazing our students are.
We are over 60% free or reduced price lunch, but together our community, parents, and staff work together to get everything we need.
I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
My Project
Our school has been able to put these whiteboard tables into most of our classrooms. These tables create a space for teachers and students to meet to collaborate, plan, or work in small groups on projects, assignments, and lessons.
Collaboration and teamwork are the greatest things our students can discover and learn.
Students are able to meet and work on vocabulary and spelling. Science projects, plans, and discovery come alive on the tabletop. Math assignments that are difficult get broken down together in small groups. The whiteboard top makes mistakes feel much less of a problem. I can also have our students working here on an awesome app called Osmos creation. Here they can allow their drawings to come alive in a story.
The budget can only handle purchasing so many of these tables. My classroom would need to wait a year before getting one of these and I already see the impact of them in other classrooms. We could wait a year and get a table with our budget then, but if it is impacting other students so greatly this year, why wait? Our students are so important and I want them to have everything that they need to do their very best right now.
