My students are a group of highly motivated and hard working readers. They come from all demographics and varying socioeconomic levels. There are three RSP students who have specific learning challenges, two students on a behavior plan who struggle to achieve the most basic day-to-day goals, a gifted student, and a student who never went to any kind of school before first grade. I have ten ELL students in the class. It is a very diverse group of students with each and every one with needs very specific to them. They are wonderful learners whose eyes brighten up whenever they have the opportunity to read a book. They have a thirst for knowledge and I admire their perseverance.
My Project
Students need to feel at home in the classroom and school. If they have a place they can call their own and can store their work there, it makes them feel relaxed and ready to learn a lot quicker.
My students will use this 30 Compartment Cubby to store their work before they can take it home to show to their parents.
Mailboxes promote organization since all assignments have a designated place.
It will reduce clutter and give them a stress free learning environment. Not having to worry about where to keep their materials will free their minds to learn new knowledge. Mailboxes will protect them emotionally because others cannot see their grade unless they show it.
The classroom will be more organized and safer for everyone.
