My students need a comfortable and supportive place to sit and learn how to read alongside their peers in a guided reading setting.

My Students
My students are excited, ambitious, and curious about the world around them. They always have a question to ask or a story to tell. My students are a diverse group of eager kindergarteners: ethnically, culturally, economically, and academically. I am a teacher at an International Baccalaureate school where students are exposed to a second language, art, music, gardening, technology, and character studies.
Did you love kindergarten?
Well my students do. They are excited and ready to learn. One thing we do each and every day is guided reading. We are looking for a comfortable table to sit around where students can enjoy reading, learn sight words, and talk about books.
My Project
The guided reading table will be used daily for reading groups, math groups, small writing groups, and one on one support for struggling students. This table will serve as the center spot for the classroom where students know that the work they are doing is special and important to their learning.
Your generous donation to our project will improve our kindergarten classroom by giving students a special place to learn to read all of the amazing books in our library.
Kindergarten students need a quiet place to practice the skills that they are learning in reading, writing, and math. This table will change our classroom for the better by giving us a wonderful place to learn and grow.
