This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I try to instill responsibility in my students. This begins with showing them how to organize classroom materials as well as their own materials.
My students are first graders who love to learn and read.
They attend a magnet school and many are reading above grade level. This year, we adopted a new literacy program that includes a ton of reading resources. In order to access these resources, we need to organize them in our class.
My Project
The easel I requested will be used to hold our big books, pocket charts, and to do reading activities on a daily basis. The book bins will be used to store the leveled and themed books. That way, students can read a variety of books daily.
Your donation to this project will help me implement a new reading program by providing the materials needed to organize the program components.
The easel will also ensure that all students can see and interact with our daily activities. Thank you so much for your consideration.
