This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all from an urban setting yet, continue to thrive despite many obstacles in their daily lives. They deserve the very best education and the opportunity to become successful in our communities and beyond! They need a clean and safe setting that matches each of their unique needs, providing comfortable seating that is age appropriate and stimulating. Through DonorsChoose, our students' knowledge will expand and ignite motivation for bigger and better things in and out of the classroom!

My Project

My students have a classroom carpet that has been through far too much. They deserve a clean and welcoming space for new learning to occur. We want to spend time sharing our new ideas and feelings with our classmates. The design of the rug allows students to move and groove in their own spaces during dance or movement breaks throughout the day and provide spatial cues for instructional times. It would mean the world to have a new rug in our classroom for students to really love their space and share their love for learning and playing on a daily basis!
