My Project
We are a school of readers. If you ask any student- "what are you reading?" - they will be able to tell you what they are currently reading and their last favorite book! Good reading habits in a class community needs nurturing. There is so much that goes into making this happen: book talks, choice in reading materials, book discussions, conferencing...
An organized classroom library is the key.
Students need a system that works and these book bins make all the difference. They are easily labeled by themes, authors or reading genres. This helps kids be able to find the books they want to read. But it also helps books get back to where they belong for future readers! These bins also help keep the books in good shape and they add some color to our room! A classroom library is at the heart of my reading instruction. Books bins will help us get organized, but also brings a much needed refresh to our well-used classroom library.
