My Project

Classroom community is essential for students to feel comfortable and safe to fully immerse themselves in the learning. My students love to share their experiences with each other and this classroom rug will help facilitate that even more. The classroom rug in this project will be used to create a central meeting space for all students to gather together to learn, ask questions, share thoughts and ideas, interact with peers and teachers, and grow their brains. Each student will have their own space for learning to help facilitate respecting each others' learning spaces.

Whole group instruction is key for academic success and having a space for students to interact with the learning, get feedback from their teacher, and share with peers will be impactful!

Along with whole group instruction, we will be able to use this space for turn and talk sharing, morning meetings, number talks, and partner reading. This will also be a flexible learning space for students to work at during independent working time when they would like to work while laying down.

Mrs. Carter will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by July 18.
