This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious, creative, and are learning two languages! We spend a lot of time learning as a group on the floor. This is where we have great discussions on learning. They love to share their thoughts and experiences.

My Project

This project will benefit 44 adventurous Kindergarteners. My students are learning in two different languages English and Spanish! Our classroom needs a carpet with a designated place for every student to sit on the floor.

Having a place for everyone to sit will help with classroom management and transitions if every student knows where to sit on the carpet.

We will use this classroom carpet for our morning meetings, whole group instruction, and where we share our love for learning. In Kindergarten, we stay active and go back and forth from our desks to the floor.
