This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many of my students come from low-income homes where basic supplies for school are too expensive, and many students go home and just sit in front of the television. Education is not on the top of many of these parents' or students' lists; they are just trying to survive.

Many students do not have the resources at home to be successful at school.

Therefore, it is my job, as their teacher, to make sure that they get as many experiences as possible to help them succeed and have a positive school year!

My Project

My classroom does not have carpet. The floor is tile which is cold and hard and not very comfortable to sit on. Therefore we need a carpet to help make our classroom more inviting and where they also have another place to sit on the chair at their desk.

A Place for Everyone Carpet is large enough to give all students a spot to work with a partner, play a game, listen to a story or instruction by the teacher and they will be comfortable.

This carpet also has individual spots for each student to sit in which will help give every child their own space.
