This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is unique in that it is the only museum school in a large city in Illinois. We have partnerships with various museums. Our goal is to make the city an extension of our classrooms.
This year students will continue their journey into personalized learning and incorporating more choice in their learning experiences.
The students are eager to learn and excited about the upcoming school year. This will be our second year together and I'm so proud to be able to see where their learning will take them!
My Project
Who doesn't like to work in an ideal space? This project will allow my students to have the choice of their ideal space. The choice of tall tables, seating balls, lap desks and bands for the chairs will provide additional choices in my classroom.
Each student needs a place to feel comfortable in their learning environment.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for all students in the class to be successful. Flexible seating is a great opportunity for students to be motivated to work.
This is also my own personal home away from home. I love my classroom to have that homey feel to it. It makes me feel so peaceful in my environment when it is pretty and well decorated. Having nice bulletin boards enhances the decor and feel of the classroom.
