This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
As a Leader in Me School, we encourage our students to "Find Their Voice" and use that voice to navigate school and life in general. What I love about my students is their willingness to take this concept and apply it daily. They are willing to step out and try new things even when it can be difficult at times.
How cool would it be to "hear" your visual artwork?!
Here at my school, we are encouraged to work "across the curriculum" and find ways to tie our subjects together. In this project, the art instructor will have the students to create a piece of art work while in music, with my instruction, the students will create a soundtrack that appropriately represents the piece of artwork they created. This is where the voice recorders come in.
By providing these recorders, the students will load there completed works from their computer onto these recorders. Once loaded, the artwork and recorder will be placed on display so the work can be shared with family and friends during an in-school event. Essentially, the artwork will come to life with the push of button. The students are so excited about the opportunity to bring their artwork to life aurally!
