This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher in a general education class of 24 students. I want to provide my students with a wonderful learning environment full of hands-on experiences that encourage them to use their creative minds while learning the curriculum and core concepts.

My school is located in a high poverty neighborhood and a lack of funding requires that teachers spend their own money to provide many of the resources for their students.

My students are enthusiastic learners who deserve the best education and materials to support their learning.

My Project

How many times have you wanted to remember a wonderful moment or memory of someone you love? I am asking for a digital camera to help document all the wonderful learning that takes place each day in my classroom. My students love to share their journals, sing, perform, and read. I love to try to catch all of this on camera. They really do learn a lot from watching themselves in the videos. At the end of the year I make a keepsake DVD for each of the families of all their child's photos and videos from throughout the year. I also compile photographs and videos to make a slide show for Open House. It is fun to share all these moments with the families and students.

Unfortunately the camera that I use for my classroom photography and movies has broken.

I am hoping with your support we will be making movies in no time! Thank you for your generosity and helping to bring this project to life!
